PhK9SAR just finished the Training and Certification for "K9 DISASTER RESPONDER" with US-based National Association for Search and Rescue.
Three dogs & six handlers passed the examinations. The NASAR instructors Ken and Kris Lesperance, told that of all the trainings and certifications they conducted all over the world this is the 1st time that they got 100% passers. They also added, even their own team didn't get 100%.
The handlers need to pass 4 examinations:
- Written exam
- Pack check
- Get hoist with their dog
- Real scenario rubble search with their dog. (They must wear their PPE & pack. & must have 2 finds.)
