PhK9SAR is always looking for those special people and dogs willing and able to make the great commitment of time, resources, and the energy required to do this work. Because new members are the next generation of our unit, this commitment includes all of us - the trainee and the entire membership.
Volunteer Search and Rescue is extremely rewarding, however, it is also extremely demanding and time consuming - you must have flexibility in both your personal and professional life. Typically, volunteers in PhK9SAR are expected to adhere to a rigorous training schedule and be available to respond to missions 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.
